Bhurban - City of Pakistan
Bhurban is a small town and a hill station in Punjab, Pakistan. It is located approximately 13 kilometres from Murree city.
Although the resort is known as Bhurban, Bhurban is in fact a name taken from a nearby forest.
The village itself is called "Rawat" which is also the headquarters of the Union Council of the same name. Rawat union council is an administrative sub-division of Murree Tehsil in the Rawalpindi District of Punjab. The Union council of Rawat is also responsible for managing Bhurban.
Bhurban is situated in between Murree and Kashmir Road at a height of about 6000 feet.
It has recently been made accessible by the dual Islamabad-Murree Expressway, making it a 45 minute drive from the federal capital of Pakistan. Besides scenic hiking trails, one can relax at the 5-star Pearl Continental Hotel, or own luxurious apprtments at one of the best apartment complexes in the region; Quality Flats, Bhurban.
It is one of the most picturesque places in the country, it is a tourist paradise with fauna, flora and a wide variety species of animals not found elsewhere in Pakistan. It is known for a nine hole golf course, which is golfer delight during the summer season. There is also a 5 Star hotel in Bhurban, which serves as a focal point and a very popular point for tourists in the Murree Hills.
