Jaco - City of Costa Rica

Jacó is a coastal city in Costa Rica's Puntarenas province, located on the Pacific Ocean. Jacó is approximately 1.5 hours from San José. It lies about 15 miles south of the popular Carara National Park. The city hosts several restaurants, shops, nightclubs, discos, and all-inclusive hotels, as well as several expensive homes. Surfing draws many people to the beaches, which are known for their consistent 3 to 4 meter surf. There has also reportedly been an increase in crime in Jacó with also a reported increase in drug activity.
